I’m a professional do gooder tuned yoga teacher. You could say that it was inevitable that I would become a yoga teacher if you believe that the seed does not fall far from the tree. I come from a family of teachers as well as yogis.
I started practising at 15 when my eldest sister came back from a year in India and started sharing yoga with us. For me Yoga is the union between the body, the mind and spirit. When you take a breath centred approach, yoga creates a space free from obstacles in your own body to live. Yoga is the release of all that you do not need that hinders the connection to yourself and to others. I am here to help others find this release so that they leave the mat energized and happy.
I combine informed asana sequencing, chanting, and meditation with a deep appreciation of sacred Yoga texts to provide students with a full experience. Besides physical health, I aspire to assist my students to attain mental clarity and an understanding of the ancient
I have many years of teaching and training experience and started teaching yoga professionally in June 2013. I am currently enrolled in Leslie Kaminki’s Yoga Anatomy course in NYC and have taken workshops at Jivamukti Yoga and with Rod Stryker.
I am a certified chidren’s yoga teacher through Karmakids Yoga in Manhattan.
